| A great time was had by all at this years BBQ. Food was great, fireworks extravaganza, great prizes/raffle and the first appearance of the SVFF tee shirts! Our thanks to Jay Jefferson for supplying the location. We had many game/events planned but so many people tried the casting competition that it went long and took up all the time. Some members stayed overnight and were around to take the float down to the ocean and back.(Dave Hilbert almost lost his life in 3' of water. A great story if you get a chance to ask him about it). Later on that evening the women had gathered at the fire to talk about how nice it was the WE have a fishing club and can go to all these wonderful meetings and fish-outings, while the men were down at Jay's dock spotting strippers in the river. To bad you can't fish the river......Rick and Dave were just using there rods to gather up the casting rings...Right???? |
